In celebration of its 50th anniversary, Smith Optics recently released the Archive collection, featuring five exact replicas of original Smith frames that debuted in 1988, 1991, and 1993—Cheetah, Mt. Shasta, Marvine, Delano, and Cornice, with three additional models (Rebel, Tioga, and Questa) set to debut at press time. Each style is labeled with its initial launch year and offered in its original colors.

HIGH-GRADE PERFORMANCE
The frames are still constructed from cellulose propionate but updated with Carbonic TLT lenses, providing super protection and optical precision in polarized and non-polarized options. A hydrophobic treatment repels water, grease, and grime. Each Rxable model features wire core temples, barrel hinges, and 6.00D base lenses.

INSIDE LOOK
Cheetah is a classic, rounded cat-eye style that captures the youthful essence of the wearer. Mt. Shasta also utilizes the same shape but has a more relaxed appearance than Cheetah. Marvine employs a round shape and keyhole bridge with an intellectual look and feel.

The Delano exudes fun! With its sleek lines and subtle surface details, this lightweight frame is perfect for the patient who is looking for a good time and a comfortable fit. Cornice is ideal for almost any face. It’s a little larger and has a straight browline and sharp aesthetics.

AN ADDED PERK
ECPs can become a Smith Rx dealer that allows them to process a host of lens options in single vision and progressive. They can also process orders through Eyefinity or VisionWeb. Lens color options in the Archive collection include clear, brown, gray, gray green, and ignitor. In addition, polarized, mirror treatments, Transitions lens, and Smith’s proprietary ChromaPop features are also available. All frames come with a fleece pouch and have a lifetime warranty.

The Archive collection is perfect for ECPs looking to enhance their sunglass offerings with retro styling-something that many patients are looking for these days.
