Diva from Eastern States Eyewear Blends Bling and Nature Into One Harmonious Collection
Mariah Carey. Barbra Streisand. Celine Dion. The late Whitney Houston. When you think of “diva,” these female performers with unparalleled talent immediately come to mind. And so this bold word embodies Eastern States Eyewear’s elegantly feminine and blinged out women’s collection.
Launched in 1997 with designer Antonio Coffen, Eastern States Eyewear created the Italian-made Diva collection around bold metal treatments on the endpieces with classic frame styles. In early 2000, pavé treatments were used, which then evolved into Swarovski crystals. Over the last six years, more acetate styles as well as modern, progressive shapes were designed to provide a youthful, modern look and grow the patient base.
But Coffen isn’t just into shiny objects; his creativity embraces the beauty of nature, which can be seen in a temple effect as he translates the ripples in a pool of water or his interpretation of a blooming flower on an endpiece. Coffen is also influenced by modern jewelry, using twisted and rippled work in acetate and metal designs.
The Diva 5479 is a soft rectangle shape in acetate with metal temple accents available in three colors: blue/brown/mottled silver, black/gold and brown swirl gold. The Diva 5473 puts a modern spin and playfulness on the popular cat-eye shape. An angular strip of metal follows the brow line flawlessly to the temple accented with Swarovski crystals from start to finish. Available in black and gold or blue and silver, this frame is sure to appeal to the woman who enjoys a bit of edge with her elegance. The Diva 5477 plays with a flat metal design on the brow and temporal sides with a thinner metal bottom and mid-placed temple. Available in three colors of navy/silver, brown/leopard/gold fade and black/ivory/gold fade, the temple piece on this frame begins thin, widens, and then tapers again while highlighting beautiful crystals creating a look of movement.
The luxurious Diva collection targets a unique patient who wants to stand out and be noticed, and the 2017 styles deliver plenty of star attitude.
