POWERED BY KIDS

In compliance with the design guidelines of WSPOS (World Society of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus), and in collaboration with SIOP (Societa` Italiana di Oftalmologia Pediatrica), Safilo has developed a new frame collection named Kids by Safilo. The line combines a medical-scientific approach to meet the key needs of children in terms of safety, comfort, fit, and aesthetics.

DESIGNED TO FIT
Aimed at 0—8 year olds, Kids by Safilo uses lightweight, safe, and bio-based materials like soft rubber over the internal temples and bridge and high-performance polymers for the front and temples. These bio-compatible, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, and washable frames are flexible and free from sharp surfaces and edges. In addition, these frames feature a lower bridge and temples with a horizontal bend for the ultimate in comfort.

CHANGE IS GOOD
As children grow, their needs change. That’s why the Kids by Safilo collection changes with age, too. SA 0001 is a design for the littlest patients 0—1. The resin frame front has a form fit bridge to accommodate the wider noses of infants, and the library temples incorporate a strap to hold the frame securely.

SA 0002 is for active 2-3 year olds who love running and climbing. This rounded crystal frame keeps the eyewear discrete and accommodates the fuller faces of this age group. The colorful temples contain images of playful characters.

Children who are in the 4-6 age group are busy learning to socialize and are more active than ever. SA 0003 incorporates this with a rectangular shape and a strap option. SA 0005 and SA 0006 address 7-8 year olds who are developing fashion skills and individuality. The bright transparent colors help them express their uniqueness and the bridge size is suited to these ages.

Kids by Safilo is a breakthrough collection for kids, keeping the needs of children in the forefront.
