Polaroid lenses found in the Premium collection, UltraSight, are made with a Thermofusion technology which is used exclusively in Polaroid sunglasses.
The lenses are constructed with nine functional elements—the core being the polarizing light filter in the center. Ultra-violet light absorbers are bonded to both sides of the filter. Shock-absorbing layers are also then fused to both sides of the UV absorbers, which makes the lens flexible, light, and impact-resistant.

A scratch-resistant layer tops off both sides of the lenses and completes the lens structure providing optimal durability. Some lenses have a mirror coating as well. The brand also touts that these lenses have crisp optics and no birefringence, so they deliver state-of-the-art optical performance.
Polaroid has started a new chapter with the launch of an exceptional collection that promises to dazzle consumers with fashion and technological advancements.
