The classic P3 frame brings an air of confidence and a powerful sensibility.
When it comes to eyewear, some shapes come and go. Others experience a rebirth. That’s what’s happening with the perimetric 3 shape, better known as P3, which is now as popular as it was 100 years ago. The following styles are helping to keep P3 top of mind for patients and ECPs alike in dispensaries around the country.
Club Level Designs from Silver Dollar Optical offers the UTX9905, a P3 crafted out of the thinnest acetate available, according to the company. The front has a saddle bridge and metal accents on the temple tips. Two rivets adorn the temple fronts. CLD9180flex is a memory metal version of this frame that’s thin and highly flexible.
The Scott Harris Vintage Collection from Europa International is the perfect home for P3s. Putting a modern twist on the P3 design, SH-VIN-33’s classic metal front has a clean look with no adornments. The metal endpieces on the acetate temples are attached about 10mm back on this feminine frame. The acetate is about 2mm thicker than the metal and has three decorative rivets that attach the temple pieces.
When it comes to P3 frames, ProDesign Eyewear, Inc.’s 6507 gets the job done and leaves wearers wanting for nothing. This acetate front with metal temples has a keyhole bridge with nosepads for easy fitting, and the flat metal temples are each attached with a single vertical rivet.
Kala Eyewear from Occularium offers Winston, a frame that can do double duty for your practice. With a thin metal front, temples, and hinges, the look is minimalist. What makes Winston unique is an acetate insert that can be placed on the inner eyewire, giving the frame an entirely different look.
Semi-rimless frames are not to be left out and Occularium’s mó eyewear brings a new look to that classic design. Upper 223 is a funky metal frame with 21st-century style. This frame uses a thicker metal design that adds a new, fun twist to the classic P3 concept.
The P3 shape is wildly popular right now and will remain so for a good while. Are you using the power of the P3 to improve your eyewear sales?
