In 1996, Paula Deen and her family opened a restaurant in Savannah, GA where she could share homestyle recipes with the public that she learned in her grandmother’s kitchen. She soon published a bestselling cookbook and her success skyrocketed from there. With multiple television shows, countless cookbooks, a bi-monthly magazine, an ever-expanding product line, and several southern-style restaurants, Deen just keeps getting hotter. Despite her success, Deen knows the meaning of southern hospitality and it’s her passion for family, friends, and of course, good food, that she brings to the Paula Deen Eyewear collection launched by Eyewear Designs.
Designed to exhibit the sensibility of Deen’s lifestyle brand, Paula Deen Eyewear is geared for women aged 35 and over who like to be active and have fun. Its mid-range price point allows the collection to have a wider attraction to women who are looking for value for their dollar.
The collection’s initial launch consists of 12 ophthalmic women’s styles with more scheduled to be released in this month. Fresh styling features contemporary design cues that exemplify the charm and lifestyle brand associated with Deen. You’ll find these styles crafted in both acetate and nickel silver and stainless steel metals using full-rimmed and semi-rimless designs. Adjustable nosepads on many of the styles ensure proper fit and comfort.
To make them as appealing as possible, the models are both progressive- and computer lens-friendly due to their generous B measurement depth. Frame colors reflect Deen’s southern upbringing, giving the patient that “Paula Deen” feeling where no one is a stranger and she likes to keep it that way.

with spring hinges. Look for this luscious frame in brown, black, and lilac.
Style No. PD 834 is an all-acetate frame with a soft, deep progressive- or computer lens-friendly rectangle shape. Wide spring-hinged temples are trimmed with stones which makes the frame both classic and dressy. The tortoise color especially allows the stones to stand out.
A modified deep cat eye, Style No. PD 825 boasts a metal front connected to a sculptured trimmed thick acetate temple. For a dressier look, Style No. PD 830 is a beautiful all-metal frame with a rounded deep rectangle shape; its open temples are dotted with stones. The lavender color is particularly lovely as it is both fun and very neutral.
For those women who might want something different, Style No. PD 832 is square-shaped silhouette with a metal front and laser-cut temples embedded with a bracelet-like metal design.
Bring some of Deen’s southern hospitality to your patients with the new Paula Deen Eyewear collection.
