FERRAGAMO STEPS INTO EYEWEAR

Salvatore Ferragamo set fashion trends from the time he made his first pair of shoes when he was 9 years old. Primarily known for designing luxury goods such as shoes and leather accessories, this shoemaker to the stars loved to stray from the basic whites, blacks, and browns, and created fashions in bold colors. Like all Ferragamo products, the Ferragamo frame line by Marchon Eyewear continues this trend.
THE BACKGROUND
The Ferragamo eyewear collection features luxurious ophthalmics (27 women’s and 11 men’s models) and sunglasses (27 women’s, seven men’s, and four unisex styles) that showcase the fine artisanship that is synonymous with the Ferragamo name. Each frame is embellished with unique accents such as crystals and leather trim on the front, temples, and endpieces, or adorned with motifs symbolic of a Ferragamo creation like the Gancino and Vara designs found on other Ferragamo accessories. The collection follows the Ferragamo color theme by using bright reds, hot pinks, and vibrant blues.

THE PARTICULARS
Ferragamo’s famous Gancino design is prominently displayed on the temples of several models, including Style No. SF2600, an elegantly crafted ophthalmic acetate frame that is squarely shaped, while the Vara design appears on such models as Style Nos. SF2604 and SF2614, two similarly shaped rounded frames made of acetate. These classic models are sure to please the most discerning patient. If you are trying to find the perfect frame for someone who is a little more daring, look no further than Style No. SR2616R, a uniquely designed cat eye enhanced with crystals surrounding the outer portion of the frame. Style No. SF2613 has the same design and shape but is made of high-quality acetate.

Not to be outdone by the women’s collection, the men’s ophthalmic line showcases many handsomely designed frames. For example, Style No. SF2110 is a rectangular shaped metal with unique temples that blend two colors to enhance this fashionable frame.

SUNWEAR SHINES
The sunglass collection includes a number of sophisticated models that feature curved metal and richly colored enamel. The look and feel of Style No. SF600S, for example, is pure luxury and will make any woman look like a star. A great sunglass option for men is Style No. SF104SL, a relaxed aviator that boasts a full-rimmed leather design. Another popular sunglass is Style No. SF617S. It has a more classic design but the same rich coloring that the brand features in all of its collections.



MARKETING FERRAGAMO
The P-O-P for the Ferragamo line is as stylish as the frames themselves. Each model includes a Ferragamo case, cloth, and box. Marchon offers one- and three-piece displays as well as a tray to hold six pieces and a sunglass tray and mirror. Logo plaques and countercards for both the ophthalmic and sunglass collections are also available. Finally, there is a vibrant double-sided banner featuring both the ophthalmic and sun lines.
