Vera Bradley’s annual pattern for its Breast Cancer Foundation blossoms with The McGee Group.
A combination of vibrant pink flowers on a royal blue background, “Art Poppies” by Vera Bradley is this year’s dedicated pattern for its Foundation for Breast Cancer. As a long-time licensor and partner for this cause, The McGee Group has produced five special edition sunglasses, available this month to coincide with the Vera Bradley charity golf tournament.
The golf outing is the first of several events taking place through the summer and culminating in October, breast cancer awareness month. At that time, Vera Bradley fans will be encouraged to take a picture of themselves or others wearing pink and Vera Bradley eyewear using #FocusOnACure, and The McGee Group will donate $10 to the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Foundation. The family-owned eyewear company’s loss of wife/mother Jenny Lynn to this disease sparked joining the fight against breast cancer.
Each frame in the Art Poppies sunwear collection is dedicated to those close to McGee Group employees who have survived or are warriors fighting the disease. The rounded square-shaped and full acetate Liana V. comes in dark tortoise while Hazel A. is a metal/acetate. Sonja D. is a metal/plastic aviator in a butterfly shape. Yolanda B. has a soft square shape with a transparent royal blue front and Elizabeth D. is a vibrant, transparent blue with Art Poppies on the inside temples.
A women’s ophthalmic, Fern, and a children’s model, Delilah, that comes in transparent pink paired with crystal acetate, will be available next month.
This collection is a beautiful way for your practice and your patients to support breast cancer research.
