When carbon fiber was introduced to the optical industry awhile back it had some success, but its popularity has grown in recent years. Carbon fiber is strong, durable, flexible, and lightweight, and provides a host of interesting things you can do with color. Revolution Eyewear was so keen on carbon fiber that it introduced its Carbon Fiber Collection which takes these frames to new heights.

There are currently six styles in the initial release of the line, with more styles anticipated to be launched this year. All the frames have carbon fiber temples adjoining monel frame fronts; each selection is available in four opaque color options. The carbon fiber material allows these colors to be brilliant and gives them a textured appearance.

Eyesizes range from 47mm to 55mm and the frames boast 136mm library temples. Comfortable B measurements accommodate progressive lens designs. The lightweight library temples sport rubber temple tips for a comfortable grip. Revolution enhances the collection by including its patented Bottom Mount Clip-Ons with built-in magnets to instantly convert the eyewear into hip-looking sunwear.

Style No. RCF204 is a modified cat-eye shape with a uniform bridge so there are no nosepads to be concerned about. The hip colors and eye-catching texture details make this full-rimmed selection a must-have. Lightweight metal Style No. RCF205 brings comfort and durability to the forefront.

If your patient is looking for a more traditional shape, take a look at Style No. RCF202. This rectangular model is a semi-rimless option. The temples have pin striping to add dramatic detail.

Style No. RCF201 is a full-rimmed frame with warm colors, and its rectangular shape will appeal to both women and men.

Revolution’s Carbon Fiber Collection is ultra-lightweight, durable, colorful, high performing, and a great addition to any frame board.
