Mary Schwallenberg has joined the Recruiting Division of ophthalmic recruiting organization, imatters, inc., as senior recruiter. She will focus on corporate clients, staffing their sales reps and ophthalmic personnel, including ophthalmic technicians—COA, COT, COMT, ophthalmic assistants, registered nurses, opticians, orthoptists, and administrators. She will also work with imatters’ Continuing Education Division as an advocate to schools offering programs in ophthalmology, optometry, and opticianry.
Schwallenberg has been in ophthalmology/optometry for over 25 years, working in training, human resources, staffing, and sales. As a national sales representative, she has worked for companies such as ProLaser North America, Polaroid Eyewear, and The Spectacle Lens Group, a division of Johnson & Johnson Corp.
She holds an M.S. degree in Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Troy University, maintains her Florida Opticians license, and is a member of the American Board of Opticianry.
